음악과 공간이라는 다른 분야를 패션에 접목시켜 조화를 담은 이번 컬렉션.
점 선 면에서 시작된 이번 컬렉션은 우리가 추구하는 아이덴티티를 생각했을 때 가장 기본적으로 다루는 요소 였습니다.
건축은 음악과 굉장히 밀접하며 음악에서는 점선면을 "리듬 선율 화성"으로 표현하고 있었습니다.
음악 공간 이라는 예술은 공통된 배경으로 유사성을 가지고 함께 발전해왔습니다.
이렇게 상호 연관적으로 시간성을 가진 음악과 공간성을 지닌 디자인의 통합은 디자인언어에 있어 더욱 풍요로운 어휘를 제공하게 되었습니다.
레멜 2020에서는 현대음악과 공간 디자인의 특성을 적용한 다양한 시도를 제시하려합니다.

“ Brown noise “
공간을 구성하는 요소들을 만들어내는 소리에 집중했습니다.
그중 목가구를 제작할 때 발생하는 소리를 주요하게 사용하였으며,
실제 작업장의 망치,드릴, 각종 기계 소리를 녹음한 것으로 작품의 분위기를 이끌어 나가도록 하였습니다.
3월동안 성북동 쇼룸에서 음악 감상 가능한 공간이 마련되어 있습니다.
“Contrast 20 chair”
건축가, 수학가 겸 작곡가인 야니스 크세나키스의 작업방식에서 모티브를 얻어 왔습니다.
그의 음악은 점, 선, 면으로 정의하며 그는 건축 도면위에 먼저 음들이 움직이는 모양을 스케치한 도형 악보를 그려왔습니다.
우리는 우리의 음악 'brown noise'에서 도출해낸 숫자를 토대로 도면화하여 제작하였습니다.
음악의 패턴과 곡선미를 직관적으로 드러낼 수 있도록 목재를 적층하여 표현했습니다.
음 사이의 간격을 의자의 점, 선을 긋는 역할을 하였고 리듬감 있는 모습을 면으로 담아 내었습니다.

This collection combines music, space and other fields with fashion.
This collection, which began with dots, lines, and faces, was the most fundamental element when considering the identity we pursue.
Architecture is very close to music, and in music, dots, lines, and faces are expressed in rhythm, melody, and harmony.
The art of music space has developed with similarities on a common backdrop.
This integration of interrelated music which has temporality with design that has a spatiality has provided a richer vocabulary for the design language.
LEMELS in 2020 tries to present various attempts to apply the characteristics of modern music and space design.

"Brown Noise"
The concept music for this season leads the whole by repeating the musical woodworking machine.
We wondered what color would be if we visualize something when makes something, so we visualized the dust blowing when we made the chair.
"20 chairs"
Motif was inspired by the work of Iannis Xenakis, an architect, mathematician and composer.
He has defined music as dots, lines, and faces, and has been drawing sheet music that sketches the movement of notes on architectural drawings.
On the contrary, we used music scores to calculate the number of notes and put them in the drawing.
The interval between the notes used to draw the point and line of the chair and rhythmic figure was captured in faces.
